This initiative reinforces the event’s position as a key platform in the region, advancing exploration in alignment with global challenges and sustainable development.

Lima, November 19, 2025.- proEXPLO 2026 will be a key forum to address the new demands of the mining sector, offering high-value opportunities for professionals, companies and academia, said Adriana Aurazo, member of the Organizing Committee of the 15th International Congress of Prospectors and Explorers (proEXPLO 2026).

Aurazo emphasized that this new edition of the congress seeks to strengthen mineral exploration as a driver of responsible and competitive development in the country. “In a global context marked by the energy transition and rising demand for critical minerals, the event positions itself as a crucial space to promote innovation, sustainability and collaboration between industry, academia and government,” she noted.

Broad Opportunities

The proEXPLO 2026 representative highlighted that the event will allow participants to stay up to date with global trends, connect with industry leaders, and learn about state-of-the-art technologies applied to exploration.

“For companies, it will serve as a strategic platform to showcase advancements, reinforce ESG initiatives and attract investment linked to the energy transition. Meanwhile, universities and research centers will find an ideal environment to promote collaborative projects and strengthen specialized training,” she explained.

proEXPLO 2026 will bring together research, projects and technological developments that will help expand and diversify Peru’s exploration pipeline. The technical program will provide visibility to recent findings and new areas of geological potential, while enabling knowledge transfer and the exchange of best practices among experts, investors and authorities.

“This exchange will strengthen human capital and contribute solutions toward a more favorable regulatory and financial environment,” Aurazo added.

Sustainable Path

The 2026 edition of proEXPLO will also highlight the importance of integrating sustainability from the earliest stages of exploration. New strategies incorporate environmental, social and governance practices, prioritizing efficient resource use, early environmental management, and transparent engagement with communities.

“This approach not only improves the technical and social viability of projects, but also increases market confidence and access to capital directed toward responsible investments,” said the environmental and mining law specialist, also experienced in climate change, circular economy and ESG criteria.

Aligned with current sector needs, proEXPLO 2026 will offer relevant opportunities for professionals, companies and academia. Participants will be able to stay informed about global trends, connect with industry leaders and learn about cutting-edge technologies applied to exploration. For companies, the event will provide a strategic platform to showcase progress, strengthen ESG strategies and attract investment linked to the energy transition. For universities and research centers, it will be an opportunity to foster collaborative projects and enhance specialized training.

As part of the congress structure, eight thematic pillars have been defined to shape the technical program: discoveries, technological innovation, geoscientific knowledge, markets and finance, ESG, inclusion and diversity, education, and regulatory framework. “These topics will guide the discussions as a foundation for a comprehensive vision of modern exploration,” she concluded.
