proEXPLO 2026 opens call for technical papers on mineral exploration
Professionals may submit their abstracts until November 30. Selected authors will present their work at the 15th International Congress of Prospectors and Explorers.
Lima, August 18, 2025. The Peruvian Institute of Mining Engineers (IIMP) and the Organizing Committee of the 15th International Congress of Prospectors and Explorers - proEXPLO 2026, announce the launch of the call for the submission of technical papers that will be part of the most important mineral exploration event in Latin America.
Under the slogan “Promoting Discovery for a Sustainable Future,” this edition aims to bring together professionals, researchers, and specialists from the sector to share experiences, research, and innovative proposals that contribute to the sustainable development of mineral exploration.
The deadline for submitting technical abstracts is November 30, 2025. After the deadline, the evaluation committee, composed of experts, will review the submissions and announce its decision on December 15, 2025.
Selected papers will be presented during proEXPLO 2026, offering a platform with high academic and professional visibility at both the national and international levels.
Topics
Technical abstracts may address any of the following topics:
1. Discoveries and advances in greenfield and brownfield exploration projects.
2. Innovation and technological developments applied to mineral exploration.
3. Advances in geoscientific knowledge applied to mineral systems exploration.
4. Commodities and capital markets.
5. Environment, society, and governance.
6. Inclusion and diversity.
7. Education.
8. Legal framework and permitting.
Interested participants are reminded that submissions with a commercial or promotional nature, related to products, services, or companies, will not be considered. Selected papers will have the opportunity to be presented as part of the next edition, to be held in May 2026.
