Lima, January 27, 2026.- The Core Shack of the 15th International Congress of Prospectors and Explorers (proEXPLO 2026) will showcase 14 confirmed mineral exploration projects to date, from Argentina, Chile, Ecuador, Nicaragua, and Peru, all of which stand out for their high geological potential and diversity of mineralization settings.

These initiatives, developed by companies with established international experience, will present representative drill core samples from different deposit types and exploration stages, consolidating the Core Shack as a key technical space for analysis, knowledge exchange, and the promotion of new opportunities in regional mineral exploration.

According to the Organizing Committee, the Core Shack modules are designed to facilitate interaction between companies and a highly specialized audience, composed of professionals, investors, authorities, academics, and national and international specialists. This setting enables direct technical and geological knowledge exchange within an environment of rigorous scientific quality.

Major Highlights

Among the confirmed projects are Pierina (Barrick, Peru); Limón (Equinox Gold, Nicaragua); and Cachorro-Encierro (Antofagasta Minerals, Chile). They are joined by Colquemayo (Turmalina Minerals), Cangallo (AusQuest, Peru), and Alpala (SolGold, Ecuador), as well as La Granja (Peru) and Taca Taca-Vendabal (Argentina), both operated by First Quantum.

Completing this outstanding portfolio are Manto Verde (Capstone Copper, Chile); Elida (Element 29 Resources); Ayawilca (Tinka Resources); Picha (Mammoth); Zafranal (Teck); and Raúl mine (Rio2) in Peru. Together, these projects represent a wide range of geological models and development stages, reflecting the dynamism of mineral exploration in the region.

These projects encompass a broad variety of geological and geographic settings, underscoring the international nature of the event. The drill cores on display will cover deposits of very different types, from porphyry systems (such as Colquemayo and Zafranal) to epithermal deposits (Pierina, Limón), as well as polymetallic deposits (Ayawilca) and oxide deposits (Raúl mine), among others.

This diversity of deposit types and origins allows for the comparison of technical approaches and the evaluation of discoveries on a single platform, strengthening a global perspective on mineral exploration.

The simultaneous presence of experts and representative samples offers incalculable value to the national and international mining community, facilitating high-level networking and cutting-edge discussions around mineral discovery processes.
