proEXPLO 2026 to Award Event Passes to Geology Students from Across the Country
The initiative aims to bring future geologists closer to the world of exploration and give them the opportunity to interact with professionals in the sector.
Lima, March 5, 2026.- As part of the 15th International Congress of Prospectors and Explorers (proEXPLO 2026), 21 passes will be made available for students of geological engineering to visit the event’s exhibition area and the Core Shack, the congress organizing committee announced.
“With this initiative, we aim to bring students closer to the dynamics of mining exploration and give them the opportunity to interact with professionals, companies, and specialists in the sector. For us, it is essential to promote the participation of new generations in technical spaces such as proEXPLO,” the organizing committee stated.
A Great Opportunity
The initiative is aimed at students from 12 universities in Lima and other regions of the country, who will participate through an internal random selection process. For this, the president of the student chapter of the Geological Society of Peru at each university must submit the list of students interested in obtaining these passes.
Under the theme “Promoting Discovery for a Sustainable Future,” proEXPLO 2026, organized by the Peruvian Institute of Mining Engineers (IIMP), will take place from May 4 to 6, 2026, at the Centro de Exposiciones Jockey in Lima. The event will bring together leading professionals, companies, and experts involved in mining exploration at the national and international level.
The event has established itself as one of the leading platforms for technical exchange and the promotion of opportunities in mining exploration.
