proEXPLO 2026 begins a call for technical works on mining exploration
Professionals can submit their abstracts until November 30. Those selected will be able to exhibit their work at the XV International Congress of Prospectors and Explorers.
Lima, August 18, 2025. The Institute of Mining Engineers of Peru (IIMP) and the Organizing Committee of the XV International Congress of Prospectors and Explorers – proEXPLO 2026, announces the opening of the call for submission of technical papers that will be part of the most important mining exploration event in Latin America.
Under the theme "Promoting discovery for a sustainable future," this edition seeks to bring together professionals, researchers, and specialists from the sector to share experiences, research, and innovative proposals that contribute to the sustainable development of mineral resource exploration.
The deadline for receiving technical abstracts is November 30, 2025. After the closing date, the evaluation jury composed of experts will assess the papers and announce their verdict on December 15, 2025.
Selected papers will be presented during proEXPLO 2026, offering a showcase of great academic and professional visibility, with national and international reach.
Invited Topics
Technical abstracts may address any of the following topics:
1. Discoveries and advances in greenfield and brownfield exploration projects.
2. Innovation and technological advances applied to mineral resource exploration.
3. Advances in geoscientific knowledge applied to the exploration of mineral systems.
4. Raw materials and capital markets.
5. Environment, society, and governance.
6. Inclusion and diversity.
7. Education.
8. Legal framework and permits.
Interested parties are reminded that papers of a commercial or promotional nature, related to products, services, or companies, will not be considered. Selected papers will have the opportunity to be presented as part of the next edition to be held in May 2026.
