There’s Still Time! The Call for Technical Papers at proEXPLO 2026 Is Still Open
This edition will be developed around eight thematic areas established to address the main challenges and advances in the sector.
Lima, October 20, 2025.- The deadline for submitting abstracts of technical papers for the 15th International Congress of Prospectors and Explorers (proEXPLO 2026) is November 30, 2025, according to the Organizing Committee of the most important mining exploration event in Latin America.
proEXPLO 2026, organized by the Peruvian Institute of Mining Engineers (IIMP), has established itself as one of the main geological-mining events in Latin America and a must-attend meeting for companies and professionals working in exploration.
The call is aimed at mining exploration professionals interested in sharing innovations and advances in topics such as discoveries, technology, geoscience, market, environment, inclusion and education. The panel of judges is composed of distinguished industry specialists, who will evaluate the papers, and their decision will be announced on Monday, December 15, 2025.
The selected papers will be presented at proEXPLO 2026 to be held from May 4 to 6 at the Jockey Exhibition Center, under the theme "Promoting Discovery for a Sustainable Future".
The 8 thematic areas that will be addressed in this edition are:
1. Discoveries and progress of greenfield and brownfield exploration projects.
2. Innovation and technological advances applied to the exploration of mineral resources. 3. Advances in geoscientific knowledge applied to the exploration of mineral systems.
4. Commodities and capital market.
5. Environment, society and governance.
6. Inclusion and diversity.
7. Education.
8. Legal framework and permits.
