The Organizer
The XV International Congress of Prospectors and Explorers (proEXPLO 2026) is developed by the Institute of Mining Engineers of Peru (IIMP), a private non-profit entity made up of professionals and technicians dedicated to the development and strengthening of the national mining sector.
With 82 years of history, the IIMP is an institution that has established itself as a technical and purposeful reference for the development of mining in Peru. In his long career he has distinguished himself for his technical leadership and his permanent contribution to the responsible development of Peruvian mining.
This new edition seeks to consolidate itself as an exchange space specialized in mining exploration, promoting innovation, knowledge and opportunities for the industry.
Since its creation in 1943, the IIMP has established itself as a leading institution in the promotion of modern and sustainable mining. Its work is aimed at strengthening professional capabilities, disseminating technical knowledge and promoting science, innovation and good practices within the sector.
The International Congress of Prospectors and Explorers (proEXPLO) has been held since 1999 with the purpose of offering a specialized space to analyze the perspectives and opportunities of mineral exploration in the country.
Throughout its editions, proEXPLO has managed to position itself as the most relevant mining exploration meeting in Latin America, bringing together professionals, investors, academics, authorities, companies and sector specialists, and consolidating itself as a key platform to present new discoveries, share experiences and promote excellence in the industry.
