INSTRUCTIONS AND GUIDELINES FOR AUTHORS:

The XII International Congress of Prospectors and Explorers - proEXPLO 2021 will organize, as main part of the event, a program of oral and poster presentations that will be held from March 22 to March 26, 2021.
This document summarizes the instructions for the submission of technical papers in the form of extended abstracts.
If the paper includes more than one author, the main author should be specified as the recipient of the evaluation results and any other communication from the organizers.

Submission and Acceptance of Technical Papers

Authors of technical papers should submit an electronic version of their extended abstracts to coordtecnicaproexplo@iimp.org.pe
All technical papers received will be reviewed by the evaluating committee appointed by the Organizing Committee. Their opinions and suggestions will be forwarded to the author(s) to carry out the pertinent corrections as well as clarifications or pertinent defenses.
Commercial or promotional contents, such as products, services or companies, will not be accepted in the papers.

Once the reviewed papers are received, the evaluating committee will decided on their final approval and the manner of their presentation (oral or poster).

All authors selected for a 15 minute – long oral presentation of their papers should send a PowerPoint file to the Organizing Committee whcoordtecnicaproexplo@iimp.org.pe no later than March 15, 2021.

Edition Guidelines for Extended Abstracts

Extended abstracts should be prepared in Microsoft Word format using one of the official languages of the Congress (Spanish and English).
The extension of the abstracts will be between two (2) and four (4) pages, including figures (in jpg format), tables (in Excel or Word format), and bibliographic references. The paper size will be A4.
Papers should be structured as follows:
•    Title: Arial 13.
•    Author: First name and last name of the author(s) using Arial 11 (bold), company or institution, full professional address, and email (regular Arial 11).
•    Abstracts: Papers should include short summaries in Spanish and English, with a maximum of 150 words each. They should be concise but informative, and provide a preview of the results given in the text. In papers written in Spanish, the Abstract must include the title of the paper in English. For papers in English, it will include the title in Spanish.
•    Key Words: Five key words maximum, excluding words used in the title of the paper.
•    Main Text: The main text should be single-spaced, organized in two columns and sections with subtitles as headers (up to three hierarchical levels). Titles in sections (hierarchical level one) should use Arial 12, bold. Titles in subsections (hierarchical level 2) should use Arial 11, bold. Titles in the third hierarchical level should be in italics, Arial 11. As a general reference, the paper should include a one-paragraph introduction, explanation of the main topic, summary of data, results, discussion, and conclusions.

•    Illustrations: maps, graphics, tables, and pictures. Their size should fit page or column width. Figures should be presented in jpg format; tables in Excel or Word format.

•    Bibliographic References: All references included in the text should appear in the list of references listed in alphabetical order, according to authors’ last names, including all the information required for their search. Bibliographic references should be included at the end of the paper. We suggest to use the following patterns:
