Lima, August 2, 2024. The Organizing Committee of the 14th International Congress of Prospectors and Explorers - proEXPLO 2025 invites you to participate in the seminar Heading to proEXPLO, to be held on Tuesday, August 6, from 7:00 to 9:30 p.m., through the Zoom platform.

The seminar is entitled "Current overview of skarn deposits and CRDs in Peru and around the world" and will feature four distinguished speakers. One of them is Zhaoshan Chang, Professor of Economic Geology at the Colorado School of Mines, who will present on skarn deposits in Peru. Peter Megaw, consulting exploration geologist, president of IMDEX/Cascabel and co-founder of MAG Silver and Minaurum Gold, will present on the subject of Mexican CRDs.

Juan Taco, corporate head of Greenfield Exploration at Nexa Resources, will also speak on “Skarn deposit and Zn-Pb-Ag-(Cu) CRD at Hilarion, Ancash, Peru". And Luis Giraldo, Exploration Manager of Tinka Resources, with a presentation on “Ayawilca Project, a CRD with high zinc grades in central Peru”.

The session will be hosted by Rosa Jara, senior Project Geoscientist at Rio Tinto. Simultaneous interpretation will be provided in Spanish and English, according to the needs of the participants.

Participation is open to members of the Institute of Mining Engineers of Peru (IIMP) as well as to the general public who are related to mining exploration, whether they are students, teachers or employees of mining companies.
