Lima, December 27, 2024. The 14th International Congress of Prospectors and Explorers - proEXPLO 2025 is organized by the Peruvian Institute of Mining Engineers (IIMP) and has partnership agreements with the Society of Economic Geologists (SEG) and the Society for Geology Applied to Mineral Deposits (SGA).

SEG is a leading global, non-profit organization dedicated to advancing the understanding, development and management of the Earth's resources through geoscience. SGA is a recognized international scientific society that also promotes the science of ore deposit geology.

Both organizations have members from all over the world, including researchers, professionals and students from academia, industry and public administration, interested in economic geology, mineral resources, industrial minerals and environmental aspects related to mineral deposits.

Its participation in proEXPLO will be mainly through the 2nd International SEG-SGA-IIMP Student Presentation Contest. The contest will award the best undergraduate oral presentation of a technical paper, the best graduate oral presentation and the best poster presentation.

Prizes will include an annual subscription to SEG and SGA, a free download of the SEG-edited digital publication, free registration to the 2025 SGA conference, access to an IIMP course or seminar of choice, and recognition in SEG Discovery magazine and SGA News.

In addition, the congress will be attended by important representatives of these organizations.
